You like Brittanys? You like Barbecue? You like Beer? Well, you're in luck!

The TCBC Summer Social will be held at Little Woodrow's Ice House on Bellaire Blvd., on Saturday July 18th. We'll meet there at 5:30, and you can stay 'til you get thrown out!

Demeris BBQ will be provided (a small contribution to TCBC is suggested) but you will have to pay for your own drinks!

And to top it all off, TCBC will announce the "Dog of the Year" awards.

There will be many Brittany folks in town for the Reliant Park Dog Shows, so we're expecting a good turn-out...feel free to bring a guest.

More details to follow - See you there!

Results of TCBC Fall Field Trial – Submitted by Mary Crawford, Field Trial Secretary
Our fall trial was held November 7-9, 2008 at the Boyd Ranch near Mexia, TX. The weather turned cooler Thursday morning, but warmed up Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Birds were plentiful and the many ponds offered dogs a place to cool off during their runs. The open Derby, Open & Amateur Gun Dog stakes were open to all pointing breeds, so we saw many friends come with their Setters, Shorthairs and Vizsla. It’s great to see our friends of 20 years still running dogs. We sincerely thank our judges E. J. Hall, Conrad Plevnic, Kim Ochoa, Vic Carrington, and Jim Crawford. With our club members help the trial was a success: Michelle Lingan planted birds. Robert Power, new to the sport, learned to handle the quail and learned about horse tack. Larry and Patricia Mankin and Michelle cooked soup and coordinated and presented the meals. Sue and Bobby Armstrong brought home baked brownies for dessert. A huge ‘Thank You’ to you all and we hope to see you for the January 30-February 1 trial. We leased the grounds from the Four Corners Association who provide trial and training grounds to local clubs. The club member placements were as follows, congratulations! Open All Age, 3rd, Dakota Luke, Dick & Cindy Mantler; Amateur All Age, 1st, J&M Blazen Dixie Chik, Jim & Mary Crawford; Amature All Age, 2nd,J &M Breton Sparks Will Fly, Jim and Mary Crawford; Amature All Age, 3rd, Chief’s Gunner, Doug Arnold; Amateur Gun Dog, 1st, J&M Breton Sparks Will Fly, Jim & Mary Crawford; Open Derby, 2nd, J&M Jax White Lightning, Jim & Mary Crawford; Open Puppy,2nd, Dakota Sun, Dick and Cindy Mantler
